Description: In this second of three volumes, it is as it was in the first (08O058): no hint of Iberia, Germanic stylistic supremacy but with more than a hint of Dvorák in the catchy, folk-like themes of No. 3, rich late Romanticism. Both of these quartets were written in 1921 but could have come from 30 years earlier. All here are world premiere recordings and, especially at the price, no-brainers for collectors of Romantic chamber music. Isasi Quartet.
