Description: The final volume of this series brings us the well-known Sinfonia Votiva and two otherwise unavailable scores from consecutive years (1978-79). The Metasinfonia, not really an organ concerto as the organ is in primus inter pares mode, uses the same orchestral forces as the Poulenc organ concerto and works in a metamorphosis pattern of continual development of material. The following year produced the three-movement Concerto Festivo, whose relatively short, 16-minute length was prescribed by the London Symphony who commissioned it for their gala 75th anniversary concert. It's a true concerto for orchestra, the Solenne first movement for brass only, strings and winds featured in the second movement Lirico and the whole orchestra participating in the joyful Giocoso finale. Berlin Kozerthaus Orchestra; Lukasz Borowicz.
