Description: Lasting some 35 minutes, Fête was a 1937 commission for a night-time show of rockets, jets of water and fireworks along a long section of the Seine during the International Exhibition of Arts and Technology which lasted seven months of that year. Needless to say, enthusiasts of this instrument and of the theremin will not hesitate. The Feuillets were edited after his death by his widow and her sister Jeanne Loriod (an "ondist"). The sister of the instrument's creator transcribed four of Ravel's works for a quartet of ondes and the composer heard the works and approved. Ensemble d'Ondes de Montréal, Louise Larose, Jean Laurendeau (two further Ondes players for Fête), Louise Bessette (piano), Estelle Lemire (Ondes Martenot solo).
