Description: Each Sonatina in the set from 1793 falls into a pair of short but distinct movements: a fairly quick, always sunny Allegro followed by a slightly slower Rondo. Dussek’s introductory dedication to the 1794 Lessons states that they incorporate “several characteristic airs of different nations” and are dedicated to “the Right Honorable Lady Harriot Montague.” Ursula Dütschler (copy of c. 1800 Schanz fortepiano).
