Description: Called Apertura (i.e. “Overture”), Sinfonia or Obertura, these three-movement works (one is in two movements) are 6-8 minutes in length and were composed by a violin virtuoso who worked at theaters in Madrid; they represent his entire symphonic output (one is missing) and remind us that the early history of the symphony did not run solely through Italy.
