Description: Still relatively rarely recorded, these are very attractive examples of late Romanticism, the 1895 quintet highly praised by Brahms (who it sounds like quite a bit) and the 1914 still conservative although letting us know that Dohnányi was aware of the tonal experimentation going on around him at that time of great musical upheaval and ferment.
