Description: If you can take yet another Four Seasons (although with the performer's own adjustments, using the "Manchester" manuscript source as well as their own rhythmic and phrasing choices), you'll get 20 minutes of unrecorded Vivaldi: RV 578a is a first version of the second concerto in L'estro armonico with more complex counterpoint, an added viola part in the tutti, changes in the character of the solos and a completely different finale; and RV 372, written for a small-handed but brilliant student of his at the Pietà whose lively, amusing and mischievous character seem to represent Chiara herself. Gli Incogniti; Amandine Beyer (violin).
