Description: A collection of the enfant terrible Copland’s early orchestral works from 1924 to 1933 (the Variations are a later arrangement of a 1930 piano work), many of which were deemed unplayable by conductors such as Stokowski and Koussevitzky because of their rhythmical complexities, get the Chandos SACD treatment in their Copland series from which we’ll be cherry-picking based on how often-recorded the repertoire is.
