Description: We offer this new release not only because Liszt’s four-hand transcriptions are not as well known as those for solo piano - he sometimes recomposes parts of the work to make better use of the four hands available - but also because of the rather unusual transcription by the performers of the Totentanz: the notes tell us that they “decided to use playing techniques inside the body of the piano and other contemporary acoustic tools... in order to present our very personal vision of the apocalyptic Totetnanz scenery.” Duo Tsuyuki & Rosenboom.
