GIACOMO FLACCO (1676-1753): Pensiere Adriarmonici, Vol. 2 - Concerti à 5, Op. 1, Nos. 1-12

Description: The only extant printed copy of these works, published by La Cene in Amsterdam in c. 1716 and 1719, was found in a Mexican archive in 1961 and this is their first recording. Facco was Venetian (and the person who when he was employed by the Spanish royal family, turned down a move to Portugal to teach the king's daughter - a job taken by Domenico Scarlatti!). The three-movement concertos have a distinct Vivaldian influence, placing among works by such colleagues as Manfredini, Albinoni, dall'Abaco and Alberti.
