Description: This single-disc contains most of the Dominante Choir-performed pieces included in Vol. 11 of "The Sibelius Edition" (only 6 of the 34 Contrapuntal Exercises in the box-set are also here). BUT - not included there are the Introductory Antiphons, three pieces lasting six minutes from 1925 which are a rare example of religious music from the grandson of a church minister who was brought up in a strict Lutheran environment. Why weren't they included in the box-set? Who knows? But I looked through the couple of dozen pages of the Vol. 11 booklet six times; they just aren't there... Texts and English translations. Monica Groop (mezzo), Jorma Hynninen (baritone), Folke Gräsbeck (piano), Harri Viitanen (organ), Dominante Choir; Seppo Murto.
