Description: Associated with pop music as a performer, also a veteran of film and TV scoring, McLeod's works recorded here have the big-screen, large colorful orchestration which one also finds in newer types of "light music". The three Celebrations (1983) conjure New Zealand landscapes and recreational events and sound as if the film they belong to is missing; the Rock Concerto (1985) is not particularly rock-music oriented but rather, again, like colorfully orchestrated "light music" with a very virtuoso solo part.
