Description: Horn collectors will find about 20 minutes of new music here - the Hauff and Hoffmeister are both three-movement works with one movement missing. Hauff's in Mozartian Viennese Classical style, Hoffmann adding more elements of the horn's original signalling and hunting purpose in his finale. (The anonymous translator [who's bad enough in general] calls the horn "bugle" when the word for the instrument in both German and English is "horn" - helping keep Capriccio's notes the worst translated ones from any label with regular releases.) Nury Guarnaschelli (horn), Signum Quartet.
