Description: An odd little release, with two Spohr, one Lachner and one Schubert Lieder arranged for orchestra with the original soprano and clarinet, but it gives collectors the opportunity to hear Lachner's overture (1852), Spohr's overture (1824), Schubert's quite rare symphonic fragment (completed in 1982 by Peter Gülke); heck, even the Mozart unfinished insert aria for a German version of Paisiello's Il barbiere di Siviglia is rare by Mozart recording standards. German-English texts. Chen Reiss (soprano), Andy Miles (clarinet), Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra; Pietro Rizzo.
