Description: Rare examples of music from early 18th century Prague: six concertos which are a stylistic grab-bag, not unlike Zelenka's Capriccios, with Italianate and French elements mixing with such things as Concerto IV's middle movement which is based on an old Central European night vigil song. The 6-8 minute sacred arias are a very short-lived genre which lasted barely a few decades in Czechoslovakia. Latin-English texts. Hana Blaziková (soprano), Collegium Marianum; Jana Semerádová.
