Description: The Biblical Songs may be almost standard repertoire by now but the rest of this disc is not: three hymns for voice and organ from 1877-79 and five organ pieces by the 19-year-old composer are quite rare and there’s only one other version on disc of any of the simple, intimate miniatures that are the Evening Songs (1768).
