Description: Double-bass collectors will find some rare stuff here: at the time it was recorded in 1999, this was the first recording of the Dragonetti A major concerto (using the autograph manuscript in the British Museum). Cimador was another Italian singer-composer who moved to England and lived the rest of his life there and his much shorter concerto (also reposing in the British Museum and barely longer than Dragonetti's first movement) was only published in 1969. This is its only recording. 2 CDs. Gianni Amadio, Stefano Sciascia (double bass), Orchestra Interpreti Veneziani, Orchestra Antonio Salieri. Original 1999/2000 Rivo Alto releases.
