Description: Consisting of 11 numbers recorded between 1928-30 with members of the original cast at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm, Berlin, 6 pieces from Kleine Dreigroschenmusik conducted by Otto Klemperer (1931) and Theo Mackeben (1930), three French and one Danish song recordings from 1930-31, 15 numbers from stage works from 1929-32 with a variety of singers and orchestras, six songs in Weill's piano arrangements recorded in New York with the composer at the piano and Lotte Lenya in 1943 and two songs (Und was bekam des Soldaten Weib and Wie lange noch?) with Lenya and Weill recorded by the American Office of War Information in Washington DC in 1943/44. 2 CDs.
