Description: Transcription fanciers will be intrigued and probably highly pleased by the young pianist Sigfridsson's work. Sibelius' orchestral music was never even orchestrated - he wrote it down immediately as it came to him, making a piano transcription even more difficult. Ekman and now, Sigfridsson, follow Liszt's Beethoven symphony transcriptions as a model: difficult, ingeniously worked-out pieces definitely not for amateurs but only for virtuosic and musical concert performers. Henri Sigfridsson (piano).
