Description: Known for his compilation of English sacred choral compositions, Tudway also left a few such items of his own, from the quiet and sparing Mag and Nunc, in the tradition of Blow and Purcell, to the large-scale Te Deum (24 minutes in length) and Jubilate (which, along with My Heart Rejoiceth, originally written for the Peace of Utrecht like Croft's two titles below this one, employ strings, oboes and trumpet) which itself is both modelled on and an homage to Purcell's great setting of this text. Choir and Orchestra of Ferdinand's Consort; Stephen Bullamore.
