Description: There are a couple of other recordings of these works but this one is offered for its historical interest: this orchestra, founded in 1954, must have been the first period-performance--practice and period-instrument orchestra in the 20th century. And 1958 must be the oldest period-instrument recording you're likely to hear these days!
