Description: 66 minutes of music from the Golden Age of Scottish fiddle music, all but one of the pieces from a 1783 publication and ending with a Solo, a sort-of sonata in three movements with a muscular, up-to-date first movement and a weird final two harking back to Corelli. Two violins, cello and harpsichord/square piano make up the performance forces.
