ANDREA LUCHESI (1741-1801): Keyboard Concertos in F and in F, Symphonies in D and in B Flat, Keyboard Sonata in F.
Catalogue Number: 08P026
Reference: CD 2077
Description: Our first orchestral Luchesi disc brings us a piano concerto from sometime not long before 1771 which the young Mozart performed on several occasions and for which he wrote a first-movement cadenza (recently identified as belonging to this concerto, it inhabited the K 626a group of pieces). The second concerto is from 1773 and is shorter, like the concertos Salieri wrote at the same time. The two symphonies are three-movement Italian types from the 1760s before Luchesi left Venice while the two-movement sonata could be compared to similar pieces of the period by Cimarosa. Roberto Piano (piano), Orchestra Ferruccio Busoni; Massimo Belli.
