Description: A wide-ranging collection of American organ music featuring several first recordings: a very entertaining Cowell piece from 1962, two Ives fugues (fairly standard compared to some of his fugues!) from his Yale days, the trio-like Prelude and rich, late Romantic Fugue by the 17-year-old Barber from his student days at the Curtis Institute, and Paulus' three-part panel from 2000 inspired by hymn texts. * - World premiere recordings.
