Description: The solo violin sonatas here (some of which were fitted out later with a continuo part) derive from a manuscript in the composer's hand and are practically unknown to record catalogues. This is a "concept" release: a full-color 60-page book accompanies the disc (with the CD, in a cardboard-type box), containing a poem (sung by Bovi) or painting to illustrate each piece by Tartini, whose own inspirations were Tasso, Metastasio and Venetian song.
