Description: Both the original cello version and Geminiani's own violin transcription were published around the same time (1746) and the cello version may have been particularly intended for Paris where the instrument's popularity came late. The long-time English resident, however, seems to recall his Italian origins in this set and the technical difficulties are even greater in this violin version.
