Description: This operetta about a marriage of convenience (to gain an inheritance) between two people in love with others premiered in 1935 and had over 500 performances by 1937. The instrumentation is unusual: saxophones, accordion and banjo add unusual colors to the orchestra while the score had to be reconstructed for this recording from a piano score with notated parrts and incomplete orchestral material.
