Description: Squire was Britain’s leading cellist from the late 1890s to the late 1920s - and also a prolific recording artist - and wrote quite a few miniatures for his instrument, many for grade examinations but also for his own use at Proms Concerts and recitals. Everything here dates from 1890 to 1904 and helps to capture the mood of that particular time and place. Oliver Gledhill (cello), Tadashi Imai (piano).
