GIOVANNI BENEDETTO PLATTI (1697-1763): Harpsichord Concertos in C Minor, in G and in A, Oboe Sonata in C Minor, Harpsichord Sonata in C Minor, Op. 4/2.

Description: Some nine keyboard concertos by Platti have been identified, many only in the last few decades and this recording shows how the composer was part of the evolution from baroque to classical concerto style, especially in the last two listed above in which the strings dialogue with the soloist and the latter develops themes and motives with the strings' accompaniment.
