Description: These 1717 sonatas mix the Italianate qualities of the composer's origins with the French style popular at the court of Savoy where he worked. To ward off sameness, the musicians here have done what many composers of the era suggested: arrangements of the scoring such as creating violin and cello duets, harpsichord solos and different continuo combinations.
