Description: Along with Cavalli, Cesti was the most important representative of the 17th century Venetian school of opera. Although no full-length work has been recorded since Hyperion issued the opera Le disgrazie d'Amore in January of 2010 (01L017), this offering provides several arias and two cantatas which give us further examples of his talents.
