Description: Although the notes tell us nothing about the music, my guess is that these short, approachable, freely tonal pieces were written for the use of student soloists and orchestral players at the Kuopio Academy of Music and Dance, where he taught for 40 years. They're almost "Finnish Light Music" except that they're not as "light" as "British Light Music", if you know what I mean...
