Description: cpo's Rosetti series began as long ago as 1995 with a disc of oboe concertos. Here's the latest, with two early oboe concertos (c.1780-82) which are just as ordered by an Ansbach court violinist who commissioned three such works from Rosetti: "...with fine rondeaux and melodious adagios...", and two earlier symphonies - 14 minute works from 1776-77 and 1781-82, full of sparkling wit and easy melody.
