Description: By now one might call these recordings "vintage"; after all, the oldest of them dates from 22 years ago, before the fall of the Berlin Wall. And the modern instruments (the corni da caccia created by a Leipzig instrument maker on the request of Ludwig Güttler having been made to work well among such instruments - now, of course, we can hear "period" corni) seem outdated in this repertoire. But the relaxed tempi and general lack of "period performance" style make for an attractive, one could say nostalgic, effect. Virtuosi Saxoniae; Ludwig Güttler (horns). From original 1989, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 2002 Deutsche Schallplatten and Berlin Classics releases.
