Description: Since Grandi, unlike his onetime boss Monteverdi, didn't write a complete Vespers all at once, this live recording from the St. Mark Church in Stuttgart last year assembles 14 hymns and motets from across his career (1619-1630), most with attractively varied instrumental accompaniment.
