Description: All of these composers were Russian Jews by birth and, of course, all were also exiles who ended up in various other countries, having avoided both Russian and German persecution. They all found their own way to an assimilation of Jewish folk and sacred tradtitions with Western music and this collection explores them. Quite unusual repertoire apart from the Achron.
