Description: From the notes, which say very little about these pieces, one wishes for an orchestral Margaritis disc some day (how unlikely is that?!); these piano pieces are early - a six-year-old's Etude and a seven-year-old's Greek Rhapsody. The remainder range from youthful Schumanniana (parts of the Youth suite which is dated 1908-21) to pieces tinged with French Impressionism. The Greek folk styles are entirely contained in the Austrian Petyrek's 1927 Rhapsodies. Apostolos Palios (piano).
