Description: Galuppi wrote around 130 sonatas, in one, two or three movements which often manage to recall the simple late baroque style of Alberti and to prefigure Haydn and Mozart. The ones recorded here date from the 1750s to 1781 - the one performed on a Cristoforo fortepiano copy - and are performed on two different harpsichords, a clavichord and a typical, primitive Italian organ.
