Description: Both Lubrich and Strecke spent significant portions of their careers in Katowice and the former played the organ on this recording for 26 years. Reger was Lubrich’s lodestar while Strecke’s early hero was Bach but later in life moved towards Hindemith’s Neue Sachlichkeit via a friendship with the latter composer. Rudnick was a major figure in Silesian artistic life and his sonata is in the tradition of Rheinberger. Anna Firlus (organ of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Katowice).
