Description: Brandl’s originality can be heard in the symphony of 1792 which he titled Grande Simphonie à grand Orchestra and which looks forward to the world of Beethoven. From ten years later, the Sinfonia concertante, possibly a piece written as a calling card for employment at a court, sticks to “proper” Viennese Classical style.
