Description: The Suite was thought lost until the orchestral parts turned up in 2000. Composed between 1933 and 1936, it mixes neo-classical with romantic elements in five movements (“Praeludium”, “Courante [after J.S. Bach’s A Minor Fantasy BWV 904]”, Marsch”, “Sarabande” and “Courante”) lasting nearly half an hour. the 1951 half-hour divertimento-like Hebridean Dances first appeared nine months ago on Capriccio (09U005) and the Sinfonia Concertante, a warm and relaxed work from 1947-8 appeared on cpo a month later (10U003).
