Description: Music associated with Christmas in Sweden (and why not? After all it is June...), taken from handwritten part-books dating from the last third of the 19th century and performed by what the Swedes called a "military octet": flute, 2 clarinets, E flat cornet, alto horn, 2 tenor trombones and tuba. The performers here served as the Stockholm Home Guard Octet from 1996-2011 and play on period instruments. Ehnstedt's Octet's Successors.
