Description: "Sounding Geography"? A German musicologist and editor, inspired by Telemann's own-titled collection of 36 songs called Singende Geographie, pulled together examples of the composer's dips into folk music from all over Europe in various of his compositions and, in 1959, published this hour-long suite of 38 numbers for recorders, oboe, string quartet, viola da gamba, percussion, psaltery and continuo. Definitely something completely different! Musica Fiorita; Daniela Dolci (harpsichord).
