Description: The Boehm flute reached Germany fairly late and Karg-Elert went bonkers, writing all of the music here between 1917 and 1919 yet, between those two years he moved from late Romanticism toward Impressionism in the Impressions exotiques and Suite pointillisque and, in some of the later Caprices, appears to flirt with a type of atonality which wouldn't become common until after World War II. 2 CDs.
