Description: Bach's paucity of works for organ is probably mostly due to the fall from popularity of the instrument during the pre-Classical and Classical periods. His five sonatas (all but one date from 1755) were written for the princess Anna Amalia and are in the expected galant style but the shorter pieces vary more, stylistically, and a couple look back to the great days of the baroque organ. 2 CDs.
