Description: Clothed in Hungarian composer Weiner's rich, late Romantic orchestral colors (in 1955), Liszt's famous sonata becomes an at times Impressionist, at times Expressionist, tone poem which is practically unrecognizable as the B minor sonata. Whether that's good or bad is up to the individual listener by it's clear that Weiner meant this as a heartfelt hommage to his great Hungarian predecessor.
