Description: We never offered this, presumably because Ricercar was between distributors at the time of its release six years ago. Although four years later in date than the symphonies in the above disc, these only have three movements (and French movement headings alongside Italian tempo indications) and are what Parisian customers expected to hear (and what Mozart wrote in his Paris symphonies). Only oboes and horns are used (clarinets replace the oboes in the fifth symphony) and they don't get solo roles. The Mannheim style, through Stamitz' influence (which is why the coupling), still predominates here. Les Agrémens; Guy Van Waas (clarinet). Original 2002 release.
