AMANDUS IVANCIC (1727-1788): Missa Solemnis in C, Missa Caeciliae in C.

Description: This monk of Croatian birth is connected with this Jasna Gora series by one of his masses having been found in the monastery's archives. Another was borrowed from Austria for this recording, which presents two works with both late baroque and early classical elements, their relative mixtures suggesting that Caeciliae is slightly older than Solemnis. Performed with four singers, two violins, cello, double bass, two trumpets, timpani and organ. Capella Czestochoviensis; Tomasz Wagnic.
