Description: For collectors of unusual sound-combinations: the harmonium can sound like a barrel organ, harmonica, accordion, oboe... depending on the use of its registrations and much of the music by Widor (a Serenade, a wedding march, a Nocturne, etc.) and Gigout has a relaxed, homespun, rustic feel to it. On the other hand, Barber's Toccata (published in this version at the same time as the orchestral one in 1961), gives the piano equally virtuosic and brilliant work to do. Jean-Pierre Ferey (piano), Frédéric Ledroit (organ of Saint-Pierre d'Angoulême, harmonium).
