Description: Delius' cosmopolitanism really comes out in his songs (he spoke all the languages he set texts in). His four Verlaine settings show that same connection with the texts as his second group of seven Norwegian settings (all but one use English translations by Peter Pears) and this new release also includes two first recordings - the German settings of Geibel and Heine.
